Role summary

Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Point of contact for project and product teams regarding system/product safety and the resulting requirements and processes System analysis to identify hazards and risks, as well as appropriate countermeasures
  • Evaluation of safety concepts and architectures as part of the overall system requirements
  • Derivation of safety requirements for the various technical disciplines (hardware, software, and mechanics) based on customer requirements and internal analyses
  • Preparation of documents relevant to approval Monitoring and evaluation of compliance with processes necessary to achieve safety objectives
  • Collaboration in planning the verification and validation of products
  • Evaluation of verification and validation results with regard to the achievement of safety objectives
  • Preparation of safety documentation throughout the development process
  • Conducting impact analyses for product changes and improvements
  • Responsibility for safety-related internal and external interfaces (e.g., customers, suppliers, and other development partners, as well as auditors)
  • Further development of in-house methods and processes for implementing the relevant safety standards within development projects
  • Participation in higher-level committees (e.g., CoC Safety, BAAINBw working groups)

Requirements

  • Completed technical degree (Diploma, Master's) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science
  • Initial experience in applying the Product Safety Act
  • Knowledge of SysML/UML as well as modern software development and testing methods
  • Proficiency in using various analysis tools
  • Knowledge and experience in the areas of quality and configuration management
  • Business-level proficiency in English and German (spoken and written)
  • Ability to derive specific project requirements from norms and standards
  • Experience leading interdisciplinary teams
  • Quick learner with strong persuasion and assertiveness skills
  • Conflict management skills
  • Willingness to travel worldwide
