Responsibilities

As a Process Safety Engineer at the organization, you’ll be a subject matter expert. You will support our engineering and design teams to efficiently integrate process safety into the factory and process design. The role will be based in the UK with potential for some international travel.

  • Coordinate and provide expert technical support in process safety areas e.g. ATEX/DSEAR risk assessment, hazardous area classification, safe handling of combustible dusts, control of electrostatic hazards.
  • Support the execution of process risk assessments and hazard analysis exercises, which underpin the delivery of a safe design (including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, QRA).
  • Advise and steer on application of local rules, international standards, and best practices to promote inherently safe design.
