Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), or a related scientific discipline.
  • 6-8+ years of experience supporting machinery safety, manufacturing equipment, automation systems, robotics, or industrial machinery within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience conducting machinery risk assessments and implementing risk reduction measures.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations in the United States and Mexico is required; experience in Europe and Asia is preferred.
  • certification strongly preferred, including
  • CMSE (Certified Machinery Safety Expert)
  • CMSP (Certified Machinery Safety Professional)
  • Similar recognized machinery or functional safety credentials

Demonstrated expertise in machinery safety and functional safety standards, including

  • ANSI B11 Series
  • NFPA 79
  • ANSI/RIA R15.08
  • ISO 10218
  • Applicable OSHA machinery regulations
