Requirements
- BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years of implementing safety standards experience
- 4+ years of experience with complex electromechanical systems
- Demonstrated strong ability to move seamlessly between levels of abstraction – from system to the “nuts and bolts” implementation.
- Demonstrated experience working in a regulated industry (Functional SafetyThe part of overall safety that depends on a system or equipment operating correctly in response to its inputs, including safe management of faults and failures. Read more, Military, Medical, Automotive) applying standards to design and work products.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
- Experience with electronics systems including PLCs, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and/or mixed-signal designs
- Commitment to rigorous testing practices and design process flows
- Desire to develop deep understanding of the business and end user needs
- Desire to commit and follow through on complex, multi-year programs
