Responsibilities

  • Definition of the safety concept of ADAS systems and components according to the ISO26262 standard
  • Performing safety analysis
  • Creating safety documentation
  • Co-work in the creation of FMEAFailure Modes and Effects Analysis: a bottom-up method cataloging how components fail and what effects those failures produce.   • Management of safety relevant OEM requests
  • Representation of safety concept to internal and external customers
  • Define functional safety requirements down to system, hardware, and software engineering teams
  • Manage the boundary between malfunctioning behavior (ISO 26262Road Vehicles - Functional Safety. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
  • Expert-level knowledge of ISO 26262, deep familiarity with ISO 21448 (SOTIF)
  • Requirements Management: Proficiency in standard tools such as DOORS, Jama, or Jira for tracing safety requirements
  • Systems Understanding: Solid understanding of embedded hardware/software architectures, microcontrollers (e.g., Infineon Aurix), and in-vehicle network protocols (CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet)
  • Experience in quality methods like FMEA, FMEDA or FTA
  • Initiative and creativity, persuasion and assertiveness as social skills
  • Strong leadership, moderation, and presentation skills to influence multi-disciplinary, distributed engineering teams and handle complex customer alignments
  • Advanced English communication

Nice to have

  • Experience in Embedded Security is considered an advantage, as is a long-term interest in cybersecurity and security management according to ISO 21434Road Vehicles - Cybersecurity Engineering. Automotive cybersecurity lifecycle: threat analysis and risk assessment (TARA), security requirements, and post-production monitoring. The security companion to ISO 26262. Read more.
